Palazzo Veneziano - Venice Collection

Lovely elegant waterfront hotel with easy access to outdoor dining and private and public water taxi transportation to main attractions in other parts of Venice.

The hotel is a little far from the main attractions.

Got in early to the hotel around 10am, staff allowed us to check in and provided us with an upgrade to a corner canal front room, which was nice. Was concerned it may be noisy outside, but since we are early risers anyway it did not bother us that hotel deliveries and other activities outside our room began every morning around 6am. It was interesting seeing what goes on even on a small canal in Venice. Breakfast every morning was excellent, great selection and great coffee. Hotel staff in all areas was excellent and helpful. Booked this hotel to out of the main tourist area so we could see more walking all over Venice.

Noting to note, all was great. Our first day out exploring Venice we did have a run-in with a group of unwanted pick-pockets. I was aware of their unusual behavior following us, one woman and four men, and when the woman was reaching for my wife's purse strap, I turned and asked them loudly and bluntly asked them if they needed help with something. Beware of those around you.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The staff is exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable. The room we had chosen had a king bed. The jacuzzi tub was a wonderful surprise! We also had beautiful views of the canal. The room was very large, and decorated very elegant. Location was great for us. The complimentary visit to the Murano glass museum was a beautiful and we enjoyed seeing how these beautiful pieces were made by the masters of this art.

We loved the location as it was slightly outside of the busier part of Venice but close enough to be there in a couple of mins to walk. The bar was great - loved the knowledge the bar man had and great cocktails!

Our room sadly was not great. It was too small, the air con didn’t work which we mentioned to the staff but it didn’t seem to be fixed. We upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi and went to turn it on on the last night - didn’t work. We could hear next doors working so clearly just a problem with ours. Also sounds daft but the mini bar fridge was so noisy at night it woke us up more than once! Sadly the room was not worth the upgrade and for this reason we would not return.
