Fantastic location, very warm welcome from Mo who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything needed. A welcome text before we checked in to ensure the room was ready and the offer of bag storage the day we were leaving to enable us to visit York the next day without luggage. All in all a fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Crescent Guest House in York. Its location is excellent, being just a short distance from the city centre, which made exploring very convenient.
The owner, Mo, was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, even offering us the option to keep our car safely in the yard outside. This thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated.
The room was clean, well-presented, and comfortable, with a cosy bed that ensured a good night’s sleep. The interior was tastefully decorated, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the stay.
I would highly recommend this guest house and would certainly return in the future.

We booked 2 nights for the Viking Festival & couldn't have been happier with the choice of guest house! Firstly, don't let the reasonable pricing make you believe you will get a low quality stay! The room & facilities were exceptionally clean & comfortable & the host, Mo, could not do enough to make our stay any more comfortable & memorable as he did. He even cooked us an evening meal which was so greatly received after a tiring day! The rooms & kitchen/dining area (which is at the heart of this guest house) are all tastefully decorated & all amenities are available. There is also use of a fridge to store your own food. Honestly could not recommend this establishment enough. Its also a walkable distance from the town centre too. We will definitely be returning!

He gave us lots of good info about York and where to visit which was good.
The room was clean and decor was cosy. Bed was comfortable.
Location was fine, a short walking into York centre.
I was travelling with my partner, who was asked.. "who are you?". There seemed a little confusion as she too was female, so we had the obligatory 'oh your sisters'.... No, we're not. It felt a little uncomfortable and we were sat for 10 mins waiting whilst he tapped away at the computer. We were also advised that the shower may not be working properly and we could use one down the corridor if we preferred.
Provided with ear plugs due to the road noise I'm assuming. We were more surprised by how thin the walls were and how loud everything in the next room was. The shower didn't heat up so had to use the shower down the hallway which was less than ideal. I think it's a little overpriced for what we had personally.
