The hotel was the best that I have ever stayed in. The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable, there was a bar for the evening and the breakfast was delicious.
The thing that made the weekend was the people. All the staff in the hotel were very obliging and pleasant, and the people in the city helpful and friendly.
We will definitely come back for a visit.

We love our stay in Wheatlands Lodge Hotel! The staff were friendly and breakfast was amazing with traditional English breakfast options. The front garden/yard had plenty of tables, chairs and benches to chill ✨

Seemed primarily full of older British weekender travelers. Rooms small and furnishings worn and minimal. York is a fantastic city to visit but other lodging would be recommended.
