Beautiful Villa just outside the walls of Lucca. We would come back for the host alone. Luca the host is amazing he collected and dropped us to the train station. He explained all the sites and important places to visit. He gave us the best recommendations for food, better recommendations than Tripadvisor, real Italian cooking. So comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fantastic, better than any hotel breakfast, such a choice of fruit and pastries. He catered so well for me as a coeliac also. I cannot recommend Villa San Donota enough. He also has bikes to rent which we only noticed on the way home. The villa is so secure with locked gates and he also provides off street parking. We will be back!

Fantastic communication from Luca, let us check in early an even offered us a lift from the station. Couldn’t have done enough for us.
Our room was very nice, despite only booking an economy room, very good value for money and includes parking should you need it.
Location is just outside the walled city, only about 5 mins away from restaurants and shops

Luca is a great host who is always ready to help and is very responsive to any questions. The train station pick up/drop off is much appreciated. Bed vas very comfortable, had a great sleep. Everything was perfectly clean. Kettle with tea and coffee in the room, and toiletries in the bathroom. Felt very comfortable here, we even extended our stay for another night. Close walk to city walls with parking in a gated courtyard if you need it. And Lucca is very nice and peaceful to visit in the spring!
