We traveled with our family dog and were delighted to find the hotel truly dog‑friendly. The staff were exceptionally welcoming—three months later my daughter still talks about how kind the ladies at breakfast were, and of course how delicious the hot chocolate was every morning.
The location offers plenty to do: the hotel has its own swimming pool and direct access to a trail leading up the mountain behind it (tip: bring enough water, as there’s very little shade).
All rooms were air‑conditioned, which made a huge difference during the Italian summer heat. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with a genuinely friendly atmosphere that made us feel at home.
We stayed in the main building on the top floor, which meant tackling two steep staircases—18 steps each. Even though we found a back exit with slightly easier stairs, we still had to manage the first set, and it was a bit nerve racking with our 25 kg dog when she needed to go outside.
Tip: If you have mobility concerns or are traveling with a large dog, request a room in the other building or at least on the first floor to avoid the steep climbs
This is the only reason I didn't give top marks in comfort.
