is a beautiful, classic, traditional mansion from the 19th Century. Made entirely of stone. The property has an exquisite garden, a variety of colorful plants and trees together with a well-kept lawn impress even the most demanding eye.
The house was renovated in 2012 with the greatest care, taking into account the Cretan architecture and traditional construction. Historical and ecological building materials such as stone and wood were used.
This traditional, Cretan villa offers enough space for up to 6 people on two floors.
The top floor offers a spacious living-dining area, 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two single beds, 1 bathroom with shower cabin and modern hydromassage, a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine-dishwasher, 2 balconies and a large terrace with an indescribable view of the Libyan Sea. On the lower floor there is a double bedroom, a kitchen and a living room. All three bedrooms are air-conditioned. All windows in the villa have mosquito nets so you can always enjoy the fresh air of the village.
The interior of the villa is carefully designed to reflect its long history and social status from its first owner. Viennese furniture and antiques create a warm and elegant ambience in keeping with the character of the house.
The villa offers an indescribable view of the Libyan Sea, the fertile Messara plain and the Ida Mountains.
Unforgettable sunsets can be enjoyed in the spacious, park-like garden. Many shady seating areas, some made of natural stone, invite you to relax in the quiet village of Kalochorafitis.
On the spacious covered terrace you can enjoy a strengthening breakfast with fresh fruits, honey, cheese and vegetables from Cretan nature.
Enjoy a refreshing dip in the private pool on hot summer days. There are numerous sun and shade spots in the garden for relaxation.
Especially in the evening after sunset, the entire property is wonderfully illuminated and shines in a special shine.
The villa is ideally equipped for 2 families or a group.
On arrival you will receive a welcome greeting consisting of seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as fresh mineral water.
During your stay, we provide you with our own organic olive oil free of charge. Bed linen and towels are changed 3 times in two weeks - all costs and taxes of Villa Petra for the duration of your stay are included in the price - WiFi, electricity, hot water, cooling or heating, air conditioning.

The sea view from the upper terrace is simply breathtaking. The pool is a good size and very welcome in the hot weather. The garden is large, well-kept, and beautiful. There are numerous relaxing shady spots on the property. The beds are very comfortable. Wi-Fi works perfectly. A fantastic, large villa with traditional furnishings. We lacked for nothing. The village is very remote. Shopping facilities are easily accessible by car. The island's inhabitants are super friendly and helpful. Vagelis and Stella, your honey and oil are amazing. Our stay was amazing! The house is clean, spacious and has fabulous views. The pool is was the perfect place to relax after a day of beach or exploring. Definitely need a car but roads in area are all excellent. Vagelis is a great communicator and met us to go over all the details. He had water in the fridge and even told us about a wonderful open market we greatly enjoyed. Thanks for a great trip!
