Welcome to Avalon Manor – a gated and exquisitely landscaped property featuring a 3200 square foot Tudor style home on 1.5 tranquil acres. This property is perfect for family reunions or special occasions. The home has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a living room, a formal dining room, and a man cave/library. There are 8 beds in total that sleep 10. The home is 2 story and has all covered porches which are wonderful for year-round use. The property has three separate and distinct buildings - the Manor House, the Guest House and the Owner's Cottage. Each building is very private and separate from the others. Each has its own yard/patio, hot tub and parking. The property is centrally located 15 minutes to downtown Grass Valley, 18 minutes to Nevada City and 20 minutes to Auburn.
The kitchen features an enormous chef's kitchen with a 9.5-foot granite center island. The kitchen has all GE Monogram appliances including a huge refrigerator, 3 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, a 6-burner gas range and a built-in microwave. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything a private chef would need to prepare the most elaborate of meals.
The kitchen center island has bar stools and there is also a breakfast area surrounded by glass overlooking lush foliage, beautiful flowers, Japanese maple and Dogwood trees. The kitchen is so large and so open that there is a leather couch in it!
The home has a formal dining room just off the kitchen with a modern glass table and a large crystal chandelier on a dimmer. The table comfortably seats 8 but if you need more seating, we can move the glass table from the breakfast area so you can seat 12.
Upstairs in addition to the huge kitchen and formal dining room is a half bathroom and a roomy living room that is open to the dining room and the decks. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs a suite configuration connected by a large bathroom that has two sink areas, a whirlpool bathtub overlooking the Asian garden, a dual head glass shower, a walk-in closet and a toilet room. Each of the upstairs bedrooms has a comfortable king-sized bed, down comforters with soft bamboo/viscose sheets, a smart TV, a vanity, a ceiling fan and lots of windows.
Downstairs are three bedrooms, a full bathroom and the Man Cave. The Man Cave/Library feels like old smoking room that you’d see in Cambridge. It has genuine beveled and stained-glass windows, a giant gas fireplace, wood beam ceilings, a 65” smart TV and lots of comfortable seating. The wallpaper has a deep green and blue houndstooth pattern and the furniture is deep green velvet and black corduroy. The room also features some beautiful and rare genuine antiques.
One of the downstairs bedrooms features an antique slay bed and antique dresser/mirror with a smart TV, a ceiling fan and a view of the lower deck and yard. The other two bedrooms downstairs have horse themes, one is Equestrian, and one is Cowboy featuring genuine saddles, bridles and other horse equipment as decorations.
Outside you will find stone walkways and stairs throughout the property and 4 themed seating areas with amazing flowers and fountains. A cedar gazebo houses the 4 person hot-tub in the middle of the lush gardens. The Asian themed garden has several statues and a fountain surrounded by ferns and azaleas. The European themed garden has an Eiffel Tower and cherub statues, a fountain and a tile mosaic bench. The property has 3 very mature redwood trees forming a small grove that has Adirondack chairs in the middle for you to sit and enjoy. The Southwestern themed garden has lots of colorful Mexican pottery filled with many different types of cactuses. The property features a wood burning fire pit surrounded by natural rock pavers with seating for 8.
The prolific gardens are constantly changing colors and something is always in bloom. The property also has organic vegetables planted throughout that guests are welcome to!
The property has a large instant-on back-up generator so there is no need to be concerned about power outages.

The house and the property was absolutely gorgeous! The kitchen was so amazing and spacious to entertain the whole family! The garden area with the fresh tomatoes and herbs, just added to the delicious meals that we were able to prepare! The master bedrooms with the Jacuzzi and the beautiful shower was amazing! All the beds were soComfy, The kids totally enjoyed the decor and the library with the TV and comfy couch downstairs, in addition to the games that were provided for them. The Jacuzzi in the middle of the property was a delight. The hosts went to above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable and the kids had all that they needed to stay entertained!!.
