About this house rental

This is a very special home that is private/gated, but also just a few minutes by car to Historic Downtown Nevada City.
Located just 2.5hrs from San Francisco and the Bay Area, the historic town of Nevada City (and nearby Grass Valley) delights visitors with access to the Tahoe Lake area (50min to Truckee), the Yuba River (10min), historic landmarks, great local shopping, hiking and biking trails.
The 'Round House' is fairly known by many locals as it was a formal gathering space, as a custom-built property sitting on 21 acres with views of the Sierras.
The main home has three round skylighted domes, two wings (3-beds, 2-baths on the west, and 1-bed, 1-bath plus yoga meditation room on the east), and the main 'Great Room' has 19ft-ceilings with a custom-built kitchen, fireplace and attached screen-in porch room that is perfect for family or friend gatherings.
Guests will love having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the screened-in porch, or taking a quick respite or workout in the yoga/meditation room.
Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace in the winter, or the hot tub on chilly nights. The pool is salt-water and solar heated, great in most seasons but on the cold days.
This property is great for low-key family gatherings, and has a fully stocked kitchen (blender, waffle maker, coffee maker, utensils, pots/pans and two dishwashers). You need to bring paper towels, ground coffee and your own tupperware.
This is NOT a party house. We belong to an HOA that has strict noise ordinances after 10pm. We also have an on-site manager. She sometimes offers massage therapy. Please inquire at booking for availability.
This is a home that we use as a family regularly, so we ask that guests be respectful of our furnishings. Thank you.

I would give it a 4.5. The host was quick to respond. The location was absolutely breath-taking and the home was spacious and had everything we needed. Would have enjoyed spending more time in the home but we were there for a wedding and quite busy.A few problems we encountered --the internet was often down (host said they were working in the neighborhood) and our cell service was spotty in the area-there were missing blinds in the master bedroom/bath leaving you exposed if anyone was in the backyard-there were a few minor cleaning/maintenance issues but overall it was very goodWould stay again!

Everything about the property was amazing! The house was beautiful and the yard with the pool and the views was spectacular. We will definitely be back.

We love coming to the Round House for a weekend away. It is such a welcoming space, and the host is very communicative. We can't wait to come back!

Nice spacious home in a beautiful setting but needs regular maintenance: spider webs should have be cleared (perhaps we were first guests of the summer), washer broke, stove top not clean at arrival, refrigerator not empty at arrival, burned out light bulbs in two of three bathrooms and in living room, A/C didn’t cool house and not all windows opened, microwave not installed in cabinet correctly so using it was awkward, no blow dryers in home, a used towel left hanging in sun room…
