About this farm stay rental

Amazing and tranquil 11 acre of paradise. Gorgeous and country 3500 main home with tiny house across the bridge. This is a working horse farm. So come book a horseback riding lesson with one of the trainers or just come feed some apples and carrots. The house and tiny house have their own entrance so you will have the place entirely to yourself unless you explore the barn/horse area. Come visit the horses, chickens, donkey and mini horse and don't miss Ricky, our resident otter, floating on his back while you have coffee from the deck. Catch and release fishing. Ping pong. Hot tub. Fooz ball. Outdoor propane firepit. BBQ. What more could you add for? It's a pippy Longstocking dream come true! Pellet stove upstairs and wood burning stove downstairs. House is chalkful of games and movies and fully stocked kitchen!

We picked this property due to it's proximity to a wedding venue (5 minutes!). What started as just a convenience turned into a family vacation weekend. The heavy winter had turned everything green and flowers everywhere. We had a great BBQ on Friday night for just the 6 of us and enjoyed it on the back deck overlooking a flower surrounded pond. Canoeing the next morning after a perfect hike added to the stay. 4 adults and 2 kids getting ready all at the same time was no problem with all the bathrooms in the home. Thank you Linda for mini holiday and for making the check-in process easy!

My friends and I rented the Linda's property for a get together to celebrate some milestone birthdays and we had the loveliest time! The house is so beautiful, the ponds and grounds so calming. There are wonderful little strategic benches and chairs placed all around. It was fun walking our dogs in the morning and checking out the horses and other animals as well. Linda was great too with communication leading up to the trip and had great advice. All in all would highly recommend Linda's home! We hope to stay here again one day.

I'll start off by saying that the property is absolutely amazing with the ponds and the horses. However, there are some key things that should be advertised better and experience could improve. First, the road to the house is gravel - like - maybe 10 minutes or so of gravel, this should be advertised. You should know what your vehicle is going to need to handle. Second, there is a swamp cooler in the living room and one small window AC unit in the master bath. There is a ceiling fan in there and one standing fan as well, but there really needs to be more fans in the house. We happened to go during a heat wave and it was 100 in the house when we arrived. The owner could have had the person that lives on the ranch turn the units on before our arrival so we at least had somewhere cool to go to when we got there.. The downstairs is not it when there is no air moving down there. Second, it got down to 75 in the house in the middle of the night and that was it. The owner has notes in the house saying to open the window at night but a lot of the windows don't have screens or the screens that are there, have holes in them. I wasn't really comfortable with this and we are clearly out in the country and I didn't want any critters climbing in through the windows that could potentially harm my dogs or child. The wifi wasn't that great (but it was there) and we had zero reception with Verizon. My husband enjoyed fishing in the ponds and I enjoyed seeing the horses from a distance. We had allergy flare ups before our trip and the swamp cooler made it significantly worse to the point that we ended up leaving after one night because we were so were so miserable. The only other thing to note is that there aren't any window coverings. So, expect to have sun in the rooms when it comes up. Thankfully, I had brought travel black out shades for the room because that would have been very hard for my son. The outside is decorated with lights really well at night to keep it illuminated but this was very hard for him (he wanted to look!) while going to sleep. Overall, if we were to stay here again it would have to be during a very cool time of year. The owner did say she'd give us one night free if we booked again and I did appreciate that of her. The decor was as stated and the wood working was very intricate and detailed for those that pay attention to stuff like that. Super cool details.
