The Moorland Hotel

The staff on site are, always, amazing. Both sunil and sudeep are helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough for thier guest and chef is fantastic always, smiling even when he's up against it, food is always worth the wait, we come back for them not the establishment which needs money spent on.

The owner turned up to host a birthday party when we were there, there was no respect given by her party for the many elderly guest and people with small children trying to get to sleep. Money needs to be spent on this property before it falls apart, jacuzzi bath has been out of order for years, just remove it and update the bathroom without. Still currently advertised for on booking.com, although Sunil did tell me they requested it removed and dropped the price.

Fantastic location with superb view down to Plymouth and on the edge of Dartmoor. The staff were lovely and the food was freshly prepared and very nice and a very reasonable price. Room was fine, if basic, with nice clean and fresh bedclothes on a very comfortable bed.

It needs a good refurbishment. It is dated and a bit threadbare but it is clean and priced appropriately.

The location was beautiful The food was absolutely fantastic Staff pleasant but only 1 person on shift at a time trying to do everything

It was very tired & in need of updating Outside needed a good tidy up Booked a double room & when arriving in the room it was 2 single beds put together Mattresses very uncomfortable & need changing Stains on the carpet Wallpaper peeling off Dust everywhere especially behind the bed Mould in the shower Shower door broken No toilet roll holder The list goes on
