Close by you’ll find the English Heritage run Baconsthorpe Castle (4.5 miles) and Holt Country Park (2 miles), perfect for an afternoon spent without veering too far afield. Make a beeline for the coast to discover further adventure, heading to Weybourne (4 miles) for an afternoon on the beach. Those with children in tow may prefer a trip to the Victorian seaside town of Sheringham (6 miles) – you can even travel home via the traditional steam railway train.
