The location was absolutely beautiful, having the lake outside the hut was stunning. The hut had everything we needed, was clean and very cosy.
Its a lovely quiet walk to holt country park and to holt centre.
The gun shot bird scarer noises made it less relaxing at times, and did unsettle my dog at times too.
Apart from that everything was perfect.

Shepherds hut was gorgeous and cosy. The little touches like teas and coffees, throws, hot water bottle and the pretty decor all made the experience more special. Super quiet apart from the sound of nature. Fabulous. Thank You
Luckily I was on my own this visit as my 6’4” partner would not have fitted in the bed or shower! I didn’t see anyone on arrival due to a mix up so it would have been nice for the hut to have a little book of instructions for the fridge and wood burner. Also maybe a little bit of local info as lack of signal made it difficult to search for ideas

Log stove but more kindling would be needed depending on weather. Nice setting but would probably choose next visit in slightly warmer weather.
More cups needed. No hanging space (perhaps a few hooks) but perhaps I'm being picky.

The location is lovely, and whilst the space is small, it’s utilised pretty well.
The burner in our hut wouldn’t stay lit, we’d open the vent and door in order to get it going. This then smoked out the hut and made it unbearable to be inside. Luckily we used hot water bottles stay warm.
We also had some left over rubbish and dirty glasses from previous guests.
Lastly there is something living in the roof above the bed, probably a mouse. In hut Lily. Whilst this wasn’t a big issue and given its location you would expect some animal activity, there was droppings falling through the gaps in the ceiling onto the shelves at the corners of the bed.
