Rooms were not that good as shown in the photos. And request for big bed but not fullfill.

We were in a smaller room facing the cathedral. The furniture in the room was literally held together with duct tape. The room was warm and the temperature control did not allow us to reduce the heat. The bath towels were thinner than my kitchen dish towels and were rough and had a strange smell. The shower resulted in water all over the bathroom, though we were able to reduce the splash after by our third shower. The towel warmer didn’t work or we couldn’t figure out how it worked as turning the knob on was not enough. As English speakers, a tv without the ability to get some English speaking or translation was comical. Fortunately we were out seeing the city but it would have been nice at the end of a long day. No mini bar in the fridge, and it was icing over. They had secured the top shelf so it prevented the water bottles from standing up. So for the price, I expected a little more than they delivered. Further, the staff at the front desk was rarely of any help regarding recommendations, directions, or points of interest with the exception of one young man that was very informative and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but I bet the hotel knows exactly who I’m referring to. Thanks to him, we had a lovely dinner at Balthasar.
