Windows had handprints on them, there was an old toothpick left in the bathroom bin and the cleaner woke us up twice in the morning! For the money and location in cologne it was reasonable though I'm unsure if I'd book this again.

Our room was very nice, clean and in order. I can see that it was just been renovated and it's nice. I got the triple bed and I like the way it was set up. Although the hotel itself is undergoing renovations, but im sure when it's done it will be at par with the 4 or 5 star hotel.

I arrived late, tired and cold out. Receptionist was rude by voice raising (a lady in the night shift about 10pm on October 10, 2025). B&B hotel Messe should not be called "hotel" in its basic meanings. What on earth a hotel does not have hot water in a 10oC outside, even in the loby ? No drinking water in the room ? I asked for more pillows. They said no more. The room floor is wet and dirt-feeling. Too small for ***€ per night. Toilet is messy and lousy. One thing possibly detrimental to your life is no in-house phone line just in case of emergency you need helps. No way to contact anyone. Of course of being not with front desk because anything happens you have to walk downstairs. In online appearance they claim 4-star hotel. All of these they can do in a blinking eye. The quesion big and unanswered is WHY.
