About this villa rental
In Itri, on a small hill, there are two magnificent structures, made of stone, full of comforts and with breathtaking views from Ischia to Ponza!
The owner has taken care of every detail regardless of expenses, since it has built for the family, but then decided to rent to people who love nature and who appreciate the uniqueness of the property :: only so the properties live! The sea of Sperlonga is 15 minutes away by car, but the large swimming pool often attracts so much to make you lazy: swimming among the olive trees and enjoying a healthy breakfast on the edge equipped with umbrellas, deckchairs and tables is a real pleasure! Not far away archaeological sites and historic villages make the holiday of those who love our beautiful land even more complete!
Excursions are organized by cycling and trekking associations so as to immerse themselves in the rural culture of the places within the Natural Park of the Aurunci mountains. Just contact the proloco or the natural park authority to be informed about the specific routes and the calendar of events.
From the port of Formia, 8 km, ferries and hydrofoils leave for the Pontine islands, pearls of our sea! In short, there is every wish to satisfy!
More specifically, they are to highlight:
Sperlonga an ancient medieval village (speluncae-caves in Latin), a concentration of alleys, steps, small shops and many restaurants on a spur overlooking the sea. On the sides long beaches and coastal caves transformed by the ancient Romans into places of pleasure. Do not miss the villa and the cave of Tiberius !!
Privernum 60 km from Itri, is an ancient village with an archaeological museum where you will find Roman statues and mosaics of absolute beauty. Incredible !! Nearby is the Fossanova basilica, a masterpiece of Cistercian art, founded in the ninth century by Cistercian monks who reclaimed the area by opening a new canal (the fossa nova).
Sermoneta (74 km from itri) an absolutely intact medieval village with a particular gastronomic offer of quality, surmounted by the ancient fortress of the Caetani.
Naples and Rome are one hour by train from Formia station. It is possible to get to Pompeii using only the train!

1- The main house is on two levels:
Ground floor with 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and laundry.
First floor with panoramic terrace, dining area, equipped kitchen (6-burner stove, 90 cm oven, cutlery, dishwasher) and bathroom.
2- Dependance with accessorized dining area and kitchen with oven 90 cm, dishwasher, floor 6 gas burners, cutlery, crockery, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, laundry.
3-The pool has dimensions 5x12 meters and is equipped with dressing room and bathroom, there is a table tennis table for the use of guests. A jumper and a swing are available for children in the area.
Two barbacues and an outdoor gas cooker offer the chance to test the culinary abilities of men !.
Everything is finished with quality materials.
The lease is expected, for weeks, of the entire property for a total of 10 + 2 beds.

Our stay was great.We were there for a week with 9 people.The property is huge, so everyone could find a quiet spot to relax.If you enjoy seclusion, this is the perfect place to stay.The last stretch to the property is a bit challenging, but definitely doable :)The nearest supermarket is about a 15-minute drive away.I highly recommend a trip to Sperlonga – a breathtaking town on a hill right by the coast.Communication with the hosts was excellent at all times.Any questions we had were answered very quickly.We would definitely come back.

The house is impressive with large surfaces, high standard and well maintained. The pool, which is large and solid, is cleaned every week.
The animal life around the house is also exciting and in addition to lots of lizards, we also saw scorpions, snakes and wild boars.
The very best thing about the house is the large balcony with a view of the beautiful landscape and the sea in the background, incredible!
The contact with the hosts was fast and smooth and they answered questions directly via Whatsap.
The house is secluded out in nature. There are no shops or restaurants nearby so you are dependent on a car. The road to the house is narrow, steep and the trees grow in over the road. Getting there with a larger vehicle such as a motor home is not recommended.
In summary, we were very satisfied with the accommodation and can absolutely recommend it if you are looking for nature, magnificent views, pleasant days in a large beautiful house with a well-kept pool.

We had a wonderful family holiday here. Beautiful, spacious villa in 2 parts with wonderful views of the surrounding hills as well as out to sea. Coming from Rome by car the villa is best accessed by going through Fondi then Itri. The final few kilometres are via a fairly narrow road and then finally along a single track. Itri is the closest town for supplies and that is about a 10 minute drive. It isn’t possible to walk to any local shops. Larger supermarkets are within a 30 minute drive in Fondi and Formia.
The villa and grounds are spacious. The pool is tremendous with plenty of loungers, chair, sun umbrellas etc and this meant that often we didn’t need to leave the villa during the day.
Any queries we had were answered quickly, especially when we enquired about the ‘wild life’ during the night which turned out to be a family of wild boar! Seems they are a common occurrence in the area - they didn’t cause us any concern.
Sperlonga is a beautiful village closer by which is well worth a visit. Rome, Naples and Pompeii are all within a couple of hours driving or alternatively a shorter train journey - we opted for the train which was always reliable.
So, all in all a wonderful holiday with the villa providing a lovely base as well as a haven for our family.

Despite a short stay we were able to take advantage of all the beauty offered by the Poggio Takuna structure.
The Villa is simply magnificent, immersed in the green of its olive trees and the beautiful garden with well-kept lawn.
super efficient check-in with the support of the staff.
Every internal and external environment has been studied in detail and the cleanliness is excellent.
super welcome both the advice for things to do in the surroundings and the basic necessities made available by the property. Really something unexpected and that all travelers always wish they could find. very good!
Each room is super-equipped and the beds are super comfortable and extra wide.
We left really reluctantly…thanks to Poggio takuna staff and to the owner that is super!
