Spacious 2BDR in SM - 5 minutes walk to the beach!

Good space and was easy to walk around the area to find restaurants and shops and the beach, nice comfy beds.

The location, having a 2BR apartment with a kitchen vs. a hotel, and free parking were the high points. The host was also helpful in adjusting our checkout date when we inquired about staying an extra night. I would stay again and would've rated it as a 7.0 overall (vs. a 6.0) if not for the check-in issue which delayed us several hours and forced us to inquire with Booking.com about cancelling & rebooking.

The check-in process was quite bad -- partly due to the setup/lack of communication and partly due to the lack of timely support from Booking.com. We did not receive check-in instructions in advance of arriving and no one answered the contact phone number for the property. Add to that there was no on-site office and the address for the key pickup (which was incorrect btw) was a block away. My only recourse was to submit a support request in the Booking.com app and to call Booking's toll-free support number (provided as a supposed VIP customer), which dropped my call repeatedly. In all, checking in required ~3 hours of inconvenience (& 6 hours overall) before the property contact replied with instructions to get the keys and access to the parking. Booking.com's email messages stating that "An agent will get back to you within 24 hours" and the Booking customer service agent who said he'd put a Post-It note on his PC so the next person coming in for the shift would call me back (they didn't) made me decide that I won't use Booking again for non-hotel reservations.
