Paradise Apartments

Very central location, easy to access. Very clean and modern.

It was warm and the windows didn’t open.

The room was in a perfect location in the City centre, just near the end of the main shopping street. close to Clifford's Tower, which I walked past on my way to The Barbican. The room was spotlessly clean (Room 3) with ample kitchen and bathroom supplies. The bed was very comfortable. There's a bus stop right outside the apartments heading in the direction of the Railway Station so handy if you have a lot of luggage

My room overlooked the main street so it was very noisy until around 1:30am with revellers from the pubs around it. Definitely take ear plugs. Tesco delivered to the shop directly underneath the apartments at 4:30am - this took about 20 minutes of trundling crates into the shop and was very noisy.

The apartments are in a great location just over the River Ouse bridge between Micklegate and Low Oustgate. Instructions to enter the main building door and then our room door were very clear and easy to do. Once inside the room, we were very happy with the size and layout of the room. Facilities included a small kitchenette with microwave, coffee machine and kettle and a sink with Fairy liquid and tea towel provided. Everything required for a hot drink was there. In the wardrobe we found an electric fan, an ironing board and iron, a hairdryer and a travel cot. There was a good sized television on the wall with loads of channels. The en-suite was a decent size with shower gel/shampoo and handwash provided, together with nice clean, soft white bath and hand towels. We did find that the shower cubicle itself was a little "snug". The entire room was spotlessly clean and well decorated. Cards with 20% discount were available in the room to be used at the Oasis cafe underneath the apartments as well as two other restaurants close by. We did use the Oasis for breakfast on both days which was plentiful and excellent quality.

Nothing bad or negative to report.

I really think that you should have better WiFi. The signal is really bad. And you can’t even watch anything on the telly so you are just sitting there at night and can’t watch anything.
