However, the situation was significantly improved by the proactive intervention of the hotel staff, particularly a staff member named Holly. Her professionalism and dedication were exemplary as she facilitated an upgrade to a superior room in the newer wing of the hotel, where the air conditioning system functioned effectively. While this required an additional fee, the improvement in comfort was well worth the expense. Holly's follow-up to ensure our satisfaction was particularly commendable, elevating the overall experience from a potential one-star disaster. Despite the positive resolution, the underlying issue of non-functional air conditioning in standard rooms cannot be ignored. Given recurring complaints from previous years, investment in this area is strongly advised. Furthermore, the quality of the room service food was disappointing, with a recommended dish of ribs causing digestive distress and excessively salty chips. In conclusion, while the hotel boasts a dedicated and hardworking staff, exemplified by Holly's outstanding service, improvements in room amenities and food quality are necessary to elevate the guest experience consistently.
