The building itself retains its grandeur as do the public rooms on the ground floor, the staircase etc. It’s obvious why this is a favoured location for weddings and conferences. The staff throughout the hotel were all pleasant and very helpful.
The bedroom was disappointingly small. There was hardly enough space for the normal items eg the fridge and tea/coffee making tray including kettle were all inside the wardrobe. The only place to sit was on the bed itself or a low stool stored under the dressing table which doubled as the bedside table.

We have stayed at the Milner before and it’s a beautiful hotel , I can’t fault the staff or lounges, bar or restaurant.
The bed room was so disappointing, it was so tired and shabby, they changed rooms for us to a slightly bigger room but still was so tired , beautiful chairs with stains all over , the furniture was so tired, for the cost of our stay I was so disappointed .This was a stay for my friends 60th birthday so I really wanted it to be special.
We stayed before at the front of the hotel and the room was beautiful.
