Our family came from Washington and California to attend the Fall Colors Meet at Train Mountain. Pennie's in the Pines was excellent in providing a place for all of us to gather. Jim is extremely friendly and welcoming. He provides everything you need and checks on you too. You won't be disappointed. His decorating and photography is splendid.

Can't say enough good things about this place. The location is a great launching pad for outdoor adventures. It was warm and welcoming when we arrived with a Christmas tree and decorations and music waiting to greet us. It is very well stocked with treats and lots of kitchen tools. The host clearly looks out for guests comfort. If you are going to crater lake, this is the place to stay.

What a great place to stay! Jim (owner who lives next door) goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing and FUN! Nicely decorated, with many warm touches. Has a great coffee bar with hot chocolate and teas and of course coffee. Nice fenced in yard with a pretty good size deck to sit out while you bar-b-que or watch them play horse shoes and/or corn hole.
You can drive to Crater Lake, or the falls or just stay put and relaxe. Will definitely stay here again!

This mobile home is in a peaceful setting. It was decorated in a mountain cabin theme. There was a welcoming coffee/tea bar, and a fully equipped kitchen. The wifi worked fine. The beds were comfortable. We were there during a hot spell, and with no air conditioning, it was quite hot, even with the fans provided. Some of the windows didn’t have screens, so it we couldn’t open those windows or we would have mosquitoes inside. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, other than the heat issued.
