The property was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable and robust and all the linen was of nice quality and clean.

Beautiful comfortable Edwardian villa — tastefully furnished with all conveniences — with wonderful river views from top floor rooms and upper terrace of back garden. Lovely sitting area in front garden too with a glimpse of the river. Nice quiet neighbourhood close to naval college and only a short walk (10 minutes) into central Dartmouth. 90 steps up to house but we enjoyed the exercise!
A few minor things were broken or wobbly from wear and tear — like hinge of cupboard door to washing machine and small shelf in fridge door. I wouldn’t mind at all but I felt I had to document and flag these things because of the good housekeeping deposit automatically held by the renting agency or owner.

Ein wunderschönes Haus in der dritten Reihe oberhalb des Rivers Dart mit schönen Ausblicken auf den Fluß aus dem ersten Geschoß. Eine gemütliche, moderne Einrichtung mit viel Komfort und schönen Farben. Die Küche war ausgestattet mit allem was man so zum Kochen braucht und die Betten waren sehr bequem. Sehr hübsch fanden wir auch den kleinen Garten mit zwei Terrassen - die erhöhte Terrasse sogar mit Blick auf den Fluß. Leider konnten wir den Außenbereich auf Grund des schlechten Wetters nicht nutzen. Wunderbar war der große Einbauchschrank mit Büchern, Spielen und DVDs im Wohnzimmer.
Man muß sich bewußt sein, dass das Haus nicht direkt mit dem Auto zu erreichen ist und man jede Menge Stufen vor sich hat bis zur Haustür. Auch im Haus gibt es eine steile Treppe. Ein großes Problem stellte für uns die Parkplatzsituation in der Straße und allgemein in Dartmouth dar. Vielleicht sollte das in der Beschreibung des Hauses noch mehr betont werden um unangenehmen Überraschungen vorzubeugen. Wir haben am Ende über JustPark einen privaten Parkplatz dazugebucht, der allerdings weit außerhalb des Zentrums lag. Eine dauerhafte ParkingPermit für die Straße wäre sicherlich eine gute Idee und ein toller Zusatzgewinn für das Haus!

Charming cottage, plenty of room, quiet location, easy walk to town, nice garden, comfy beds, clean and well appointed, excellent value.
Would be better with a second toilet separate to the bathroom in a house advertised for 6 people.
Third bedroom and bed too small for two people really but we were a party of 5 so not a problem.
Steps to the property could be an issue for some people but didn’t bother us.
it’s a shame parking permits are not provided as that was a bit of nuisance having to leave the car at the park and ride or move it twice a day for the restricted hours.
