On road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are external open-tread stairs leading from the kitchen to the garden. There are sloping banks in the garden. Sorry, no hen or stag parties.. Sometimes you just wish life moved at a slower pace, and when things get too hectic, there’s nothing like taking a break to appreciate the simple pleasures in life, with the ones you love.
Ingelwood Retreat is a contemporary and detached, reverse level house, designed to ensure a comfortable stay with immaculate interior.
On entering the house, you are welcomed by a large, open plan living space which includes a fully integrated kitchen and dining area. Here you can enjoy socialising and rustling up a meal for the evenings you don’t fancy venturing out.
From here, take your glass of wine and open the bi-fold doors, stepping on to the furnished balcony where you can appreciate the peace and quiet and beautiful sea views.
With room for the whole family or a group of friends, there are four bedrooms to ensure you are well rested for your adventures to come. There is a single bed, and three further bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower and double sinks, so no fighting over space in the morning!
There is on road parking at the front of the house and a rear lawned sloping garden which is enclosed.
Steephill Cove is tucked away at the foot of Ventnor Undercliff area and is only a short walk from the house. Here you can awe at the timeless charm and romance of your surroundings in arguably the prettiest place on the island!
For those that enjoy breathtaking coastal walks, you can walk till your hearts content. Visit the famous Needles, or head over to the Botanical Gardens which contain rare plants from all over the world! There is also an exceptional restaurant where you can sample the fresh ingredients grown straight from the gardens, delicious!

We have just spent 7 day for Christmas 19th to the 27th December 2024 in this beautiful place.. we had a wonderful time celebrating our family Christmas in this well kept and welcoming property. Everything we needed was available to us . The rooms where high quality, bathrooms where very clearn and showers where powerful. Towels, toilet rolls, hand soaps, bedding and so much more was in place for us. The view from the back looking over the woodlands and sea was perfect. I would highly recommend 5 stars 🌟 We have rebook for next Christmas 🎄... also, we appreciate the welcoming gifts for Christmas and the Christmas decorations put in place.

Firstly a spacious house, good open plan kitchen, dining and living areas very well equipped for up to 8 guests. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms, all clean and very accommodating. House is warm and has good WiFi which is good as the phone signal can be poor in this area. Biggest issue is the steepness of the front and rear areas. Would not recommend this property if you want to use outside space. Also the lack of refuse/ recycling bins was an issue for a week as there was only one wheelie bin which was emptied fortnightly. Location is quiet and good base for local walks. Main amenities are a short drive/bus into Ventnor. Overall good but I don’t think I would return on the basis of the outside space oh and the masses if woodlice.

Spacious for a family of 4, beautifully decorated and all the home comforts we needed. Garden is very very steep! Would recommend and hope to book again next year
