The Neighborhood:
The house is nestled right on the seafront in Bracklesham Bay. It's an attractive part of West Sussex that's popular with holidaymakers. The pebble beach is the star attraction, of course, but there's plenty more in the area to keep you occupied.
There's a convenience store close by where you can stock up on those essentials to fill the kitchen cupboards and fridge freezer at the start of your stay. Bracklesham Bay also has an Italian restaurant, Chinese, Indian, fish and chip shop, and Billy's on the Beach (A lovely seaside cafe/restaurant). There is also everything you will need in the nearby village East Wittering, with a fishmonger, butcher, pharmacy, greengrocers, and Supermarket.
We are also fortunate here with numerous great pubs to choose from! The Lamb (West Wittering), The Shore (East Wittering), The Old House at Home (West Wittering), and The Ship (Itchenor).
There are water-based activities such as kite surfing, kayaking, and paddle board hire for the adventurous types in your group. And there's plenty to do in the nearby East and West Wittering, which has glorious sandy beaches.
Chichester is not too far away either, and this is a popular, historic city with bars, restaurants, pubs, shops, and coffee shops to keep you all entertained. It has a cathedral and a theatre too.
If you're in the area for horse racing at Goodwood or the Festival of Speed, booking to stay here means you won't have far to go to get to and from the venue.
Getting Around:
A car will give you much freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful West Sussex area. As you already know, we offer a free parking spot.
But having your vehicle is by no means essential, as there's plenty that you can reach on foot or by bike if you need to. And your hosts will let you know about the best cab companies to use in the area if you want someone else to do the driving.
The nearest bus stop is about a 15-minute walk away, from where you can catch services into Chichester, where you will find a train station that can connect you with locations across southern England, including Portsmouth, Brighton, and London.

A stunning property in a beautiful location. It was perfect for the 10 of us to celebrate Christmas (with multiple dogs!). The layout is great, as it allows you all to be together when cooking and sitting. And also allows you to separate and have some down time in the alternative sitting room. The views from the balcony are stunning and the amenities and decor were excellent.

Spacious, well organised and comfortable house right on the beach. We enjoyed our weekend and the quality of the house. Bathrooms were top notch, bedding was great, living areas were perfect. Only negative was that the cleaning had only been done superficially. Lots of crumbs and dirt under beds, couches (having to look for dog toys!) and in between sofa cushions. But otherwise very happy. Thanks so much for hosting us Gemma.

We had a really lovely weekend celebrating a family birthday. The house was in the perfect position right on the beach.
The reason I have reluctantly not given 5 stars is because the oven had clearly not been cleaned and was very dirty. I was surprised especially as a £500 cleaning deposit is taken. I did let Freshwater holidays know but heard nothing back.
That said everywhere else was spotlessly clean. The beds were really comfortable and the house had everything we needed for a great weekend.
The wet suits were an absolute bonus.
We definitely would go back.
