The Barn – Sleeps 10 Adults + 2 Children + The Loft – Sleeps 2 + The Cottage – Sleeps 2
We will be available to assist throughout your stay but we do not live on site at the property. Should you have any special requests, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.
Fernhurst is a picturesque village in the South Downs National Park in West Sussex, England. Surrounded by rolling countryside and woodland, it sits near Blackdown—the highest point in Sussex—which offers wide views over the Weald. The village has a traditional green, a mix of historic cottages and modern homes, and a friendly community with local shops, pubs, and regular village events. It’s a popular area for walking, cycling, and exploring the scenic landscapes of the western South Downs.
Access to the property is via a smartlock system, giving convenience to arrive whenever suits you. Instructions will be sent 48 hours prior to your stay.
The Barn – Sleeps 10 Adults + 2 Children
A spacious, character-filled converted barn with 4 bedrooms plus a landing sleeping area, 3 bathrooms, and 2 toddler beds. Original beams, roof trusses, exposed stone and brick walls, and a flagstone floor give rustic charm, while the wood burner creates cosy evenings. Outside, enjoy a large lawn with a 300-year-old cedar tree and a separate games barn with a combined pool and ping-pong table.
The Loft – Sleeps 2
A private, self-contained retreat with a bedroom, en suite bathroom with bathtub, private entrance, and parking. Original beams, roof trusses, floorboards, and doors blend beautifully with modern comforts. Access is via a steep, narrow staircase with restricted head height, so it is unsuitable for guests with mobility issues.
The Cottage – Sleeps 2
A cosy hideaway with a small UK double bed, en suite bathroom, and self-contained amenities. The private outdoor area includes a hot tub, perfect for relaxing under the stars.
Train: The closest train station is Haslemere. Once you arrive in Haslemere, there is a taxi rank at the train station, or you will need to use local bus services or other modes of transportation to reach the property.
Bus: There are bus services connecting Haslemere to Fernhurst.
Car: If you have access to a car, you can drive direct to the property.
The properties are all on the site of the owners main residence. They are private but you may see the owners from time to time!
