The hotel is very high-tech with elevators being “express” after scanning your room card. Furnishings were modern and nice. Food and drinks were a bit pricey but good quality. This would be a perfect stay for business travelers. Also, easily walkable from the train station but very quiet.
Breakfast was FAR too expensive. Our room looked into the gym of a building next door that left the lights on all night. Could not open the curtains during the day because we didn’t want to be stared at by gym goers. Have to pay more for higher floors…

I would 100% recommend the Mövenpick Hotel Basel. I would especially appreciate the wonderful receptionists who helped me with everything I needed. The location of the hotel is the best in the city. 4 minutes walk from the train station and about 10 minutes to the center. The room was beautiful, clean, modern. We were also accommodated with a 1.5 year old baby. They prepared a cot for us and were helpful with everything.
Thank you for a wonderful 4 day stay at this hotel.
