Hôtel Restaurant Du Port

We stayed in a Deluxe Lake View Room and had a wonderful experience overall. The location is simply exceptional. The hotel sits right on the shore of Lake Geneva, offering breathtaking views of both the lake and the Swiss coastline. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore was a real highlight. The décor is charming and unique, with beautiful wood paneling and nautical touches throughout. It genuinely feels as if you are staying in a luxurious ship’s cabin. The room was spotless, housekeeping was impeccable, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We also appreciated having a bathtub. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming and helpful. Considering the hotel’s location, comfort and character, we found the overall value for money to be fair. The private parking area is located outside the medieval village walls, but remains reasonably close and convenient.

A few points could be improved. The breakfast was rather expensive for what was offered: the selection was limited and portions were quite small. Coffee lovers may also be disappointed, as there is no Nespresso machine in the room and only instant coffee is provided. At breakfast, it was not possible to get a proper strong espresso either. The Wi-Fi signal was also weak and difficult to use on the third floor. One practical note: the rooms on the top floor probably offer the best views in the hotel, but the (very small) elevator only goes up to the second floor, so there is one final flight of stairs to climb.
