Location is great, very close to the cathedral, train station and the Rhein river. Easy access to everything, on foot. Clean room and bathroom, enough for basic needs, nothing fancy.
Warm buns for breakfast.
Thin walls and flimsy room door resulted in soundproofing being effectively inexistent. Could easily hear neighbours talking normally. Less aware (or mannered) guests dragged chairs or forcefully were closing or locking doors during quiet night time. Using earplugs did help.
Breakfast was not too varied (e.g for eggs, the only option available was hard boiled, no omelet) but the limited selection was good otherwise; it’s more of a neutral aspect for me and not really a negative one.

Great location. Breakfast simple but fine. Friendly staff. Good showers, comfy beds.
Basic, small rooms. No kettle provided. Noisy guests, noise from street if you are on that side.

It was very near the Cathedral and railway station. And plenty of restaurants nearby.
I made a mistake in the booking and ended up paying much more than I had budgeted for, for a double room; Iwas a solo traveller. But there was no consolation in the size of the room: it was without doubt the smallest double room I have ever stayed in. I asked to see a single room, which were tiny (though at least cheaper).
