I’ve stayed at many singles rooms in Europe, this one was all bed and nothing else. The bed was a double which was nice, but there was no room around it. It’s just bed and 4 ft of floor on all sides. Bath room was nice, totally perfect. I could hear people coming in until 12:00/1:00 at night from outside my room. It’s an old church so the whole places layout doesn’t quite make sense. It has charm but it isn’t worth it.

On arrival the Room originally allocated for us was more like a single room. With no wardrobe no view and very depressing. We were offered another room which was opposite reception, whilst this room was better, it was extremely noisy and because of the large windows there were no blinds or curtains which meant it was light throughout the night. We also arrived back at the hotel at 9.20 on Sunday evening to find ourselves locked out and having to use the rear entrance. The bar was also closed, which meant we were unable to get a drink. I think it is very misleading for the hotel to advertise 24 hour reception, when they don’t. Staff go home at 10.30 and earlier on a Sunday. It is also very misleading for the hotel to state they have a restaurant when they don’t! There is, however a restaurant outside the hotel but doesn’t belong to the hotel at all. The staff were friendly and helpful but overall a disappointing stay, as this was meant to be a romantic Christmas getaway.
