Big enough for a family gathering!

We recently stayed at this property with a large family group and there was room for everyone. Two kitchens were nice and four bathrooms was great. Really the only complaint was the showers in three bathrooms. They either pelted the person forcefully or made a loud shrieking noise while the water was on. However, we loved playing pool and shuffleboard every night. The gas fireplace was also nice after we replaced the batteries in the remote.

We really enjoyed our stay with our family! There were enough beds for everyone and having two kitchens was nice. The game room was fantastic and we played pool and shuffleboard every night. Couldn’t figure out how to use the TV in the movie room, though. We appreciated having enough space for everyone. We did have to buy more dishwasher pods to run the dishwasher and three of the four showers had issues (two pelted whoever was showering pretty violently and the other one screeched while it was on).

The house was not BAD, but I expected more based on the rave reviews. As you enter the house, there is a sign asking guests to remove their shoes, so we did. Our feet were filthy within minutes. I received a text soon after arrival, checking on the cleanliness, so I mentioned the issue. In their defense, they did ask if we’d like to have them come clean the floors. Unfortunately, because of the awful WiFi, I didn’t get the message until much later when we went into town. And, really, the floors should already have been clean upon our arrival. Speaking of WiFi, while they do indicate it’s spotty, I’d say it’s essentially non-existent and would recommend not even advertise having it. The carpet on the stairs in incredibly worn and uncomfortable on bare feet. As were the rugs going down the halls upstairs. The one leading to the master bedroom didn’t lay flat and was a tripping hazard. To get to the master bedroom, you have to enter through another bedroom with a queen sized bed, so really no privacy for that queen room. The upstairs couch is filled with feathers which may poke you when you sit down. Also, they fly out and by the end of the week there were feathers all over. The game room is a nice touch, however it’s not heated and there was only an empty can of shuffleboard powder left for the shuffleboard table. The pucks are quite worn, so the shuffleboard was not really usable. The house is advertised as 4 bathrooms but there were only 3. One in the master upstairs, 1 in the hall upstairs and 1 downstairs, kind of between 2 rooms. There were some doors locked downstairs that may have been the other bathroom? A little strange. Another review mentioned the kitchens being a little lacking and I agree. Other places are much more well equipped. There are lots of doors and light switches throughout this house. It would have been nice to have the light switches marked in some way to know which lights and rooms they were for as it was not always clear. Nothing too terrible, but none of the other reviews touch on any of these things that I feel would have been helpful to know prior to choosing a house for our vacation.
