About this house rental
New as a Rental - Breakers Point offers a truly, one-of-a-kind oceanfront experience. It is situated on its own private 1.16-acre peninsula and surrounded by the mesmerizing Pacific on three sides, allowing for unsurpassed views of the north and south coastline and out to the open sea.
The location is ideal for accessing all that the Mendocino Coast has to offer. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is less than one mile away. The historic Mendocino Village and all it has to offer is just a short 12-minute drive. You can be at MacKerricher, Russian Gulch, or Van Damme State Park in less than 15 minutes from this central location. These parks offer a variety of activities, including horseback riding, kayaking & beachcombing, tide-pooling, and extensive hiking trails. Glass Beach and the new Coastal Trail are just 4 miles away.
The first floor's open split-level plan consists of the kitchen, dining, and living spaces. This bright, spacious, and airy oasis, offers the perfect retreat to relax and unwind. With large wraparound windows offering unending views, you can watch the ships, whales, dolphins, seagulls, osprey, and an abundance of other wildlife as it passes by all from the comfort of this fantastic home.
The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for preparing a delicious meal with plenty of space, including a large center island and a built-in breakfast nook. In the living room, relax with a good book or movie. If you are up for a bit of sport, the lounge includes a regulation pool table and games.
The second story includes two guest rooms and the primary suite with a private sitting area and a large attached bath—all with those unending views where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea.
Outside, the large private peninsula allows you to roam along the cliff line, sit quietly watching the crashing waves, or watch the sun sink into the horizon as the day ends, making memories to last a lifetime.
Due to its location and proximity to the cliffs, Breakers Point is not suitable for children under 12, and no pets are allowed.
Please note that this property has a recording alarm system including exterior security cameras. There are no cameras inside or with any view of the property's interior.
The security cameras are all located in common exterior areas and are all visible. Camera locations are in the front door area, both corners of the garage, and on the south and west side of the home.

Breakers is first rate and exceeded our expectations.We spent many contented hours listening to and seeing how the ocean sky and waves changed around us. There are views from every room . A large interesting library, a pool table room, a large wonderfully stocked kitchen. The house is comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, if anything, the description of this rental is understated. Although very private, it is also minutes from the delightful Harvest Market and it lies between Fort Bragg and Mendocino. The hosts were very thoughtful and accommodating,

The interior of the rental was both as described and wonderful, but for me, the main attraction was the backyard. My first night I watched the moon slowly set above the water. I woke up before dawn to see the starry sky and saw my first shooting star. After sunrise, I watched seabirds alone and in pairs "commuting" north across the peninsula as I sipped my coffee. A family of deer grazed intermittently throughout the day. Easy check in and out thanks to clear and proactive directions. An enjoyable getaway from my urban routine, and a good compromise between the romance of isolation and access to everything that the community has to offer.

An excellent stay. House is thoughtfully appointed with superb views, and a wonderful library. I'd go broke if I stayed long enough to read so many marvelous volumes. Everything from Paintings at the Louvre to John Julius Norwich...an educated and thoughtful collection. It was a wonderful week, thank you.

We rented this home for our son’s wedding, the groomsmen all got ready here and we were able to get some amazing photos taken here. The home is beautiful with breathtaking views from everywhere. Close to town but you feel like you’re in your own little world. Would recommend to all.
