    Close to Ipanema beach and a short walk from Copacabana beach. Roof terrace and pool overlooking the ocean. Second time staying at Arena Ipanema. Will return.

    Lovely helpful staff. Sara is fantastic on reception. Sadly the infrastructure is lacking. Walls are paper thin. Had to use ear Pods just to watch YouTube as neighbour was banging on the wall. No way to mantra or coffee in the room. Expensive for the offering.

    Arena Ipanema is a 3-star hotel. The rooms are extremely small and offer no basic comforts — no coffee or tea, and no robe or slippers for the pool. Breakfast is composed of terrible coffee, and poor-quality food overall. Already broken items in our room from outlets to shower fixtures. The positives are the location (great access to Ipanema and Arpoador) and a check-in, cleaning and cafeteria service. Beyond that, it’s all downhill. For the price charged, this hotel offers low value. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere — there are much better options in Ipanema and Copacabana for the same or lower rate.
