Breakfast was very good.
This hotel is in a not so desirable part of Rio, we had to be in this area for a conference. Unless you must be in this particular area I would avoid it. We were warned not to walk after dark, but there were no walkable restaurants in the vicinity anyway. Stay in Ipanema or another desirable neighborhood if possible.

Room, good bad and restaurant is good.
Pool is not opened on Mondays, but there was no prior notice, on the contrary, on Booking it says "all year round". Black coffee and the breakfast in general is good, except for the bread/bun. We sent an email requesting gluten-free bread, there was no answer at all and didn't have any on the breakfast. Didn't have any additional towels and sheets when we requested. The name implies the Hotel is close to Barra da Tijuca and nearby beaches, but it is really far, on Jacarepaguá neighborhood, we found that's a bit deceiving.

Big rooms with balcony. Very good breakfast.
Quite far from the beach. Very expensive minibar with no prices displayed. We have paid for a few days water and refreshments 110 euros. Not nice…
