About this house rental
We are located on a hill top with an amazing view overlooking the bay of Kampos, which is situated in the north part of the island. The beautiful stone eco house is an ongoing project that started 25 years ago and is still evolving. In the house you will find tranquility, relaxation, peacefulness, and privacy. The whole house seems to have 'grown' naturally out of the hillside of which it is so much a part. We harvest rain water and our electricity is solar panels.
The house consists of two separate units which can be rented together or separately. The price listed is for the main house.
The main house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, 2 fabulous dining rooms and sleeps 5 people. Each room has a different shape and is unique in its own way. Beautiful details can be found in every room and which makes it exceptional. All bedrooms have double beds and a spectacular view--one facing the mountain and two facing the sea. In the house there are two bathrooms, one is ensuite with a single shower and the other, larger bathroom includes a bathtub and a toilet with a view that defies words!!!
The main dining room has a large wooden table and comfortable benches for communal meals. The other dining room has a smaller table and doubles as another comfortable room for relaxation. The kitchen resembles the interior of a boat. It has a small refrigerator, gas cooker and oven, toaster, kettle, blender, coffee maker, juicer, and cooking utensils. Bed linen and towels will be changed twice a week along with house cleaning.
There is also a library room that is available for guests with a variety of books for those who enjoy reading.
There are several large terraces with trees, herbs and wild flowers offering various views of the surroundings. Breakfast, lunch, dinner can be enjoyed here.
On the property there is a dog and a cat that share the house with the guests. Below the house there is a chicken coop where we gather fresh eggs daily. Also living on the property is a beautiful, free-range peacock that you may see on his morning or afternoon walks.
In the upper property there is daily a morning yoga class offered that you are welcome to join.
The closest beach, Kampos, is within walking distance. It's a beautiful place with a beach bar, taverns where you can enjoy fresh local food , watersport facilities, and a crystal clear sea.....
You can rent a car or a bike to explore the island, or we can organize a tour of the island with a guide or with a small boat.
We prefer to find guests that would appreciate the natural beauty of the house and be respectful of its quirkiness.
