About this house rental
Sitia Balcony View is a stonebuilt Cretan villa with panoramic view to Sitia city and Bay. It's located in east Crete at Stavromenos village just few minutes way from Sitia city and the airport.
It's a fully renovated, spacious family friendly house with all modern facilites.
Enjoy the sun, the amazing sea and mountain views, the nature along with your friends and/ or family all year round
Featuring a free parking area, the stone-built Sitia Balcony View villa is located 8 km from Sitia city and beach.
Surrounded by a well-tended garden, it offers free WiFi in all areas. Fitted with stone walls and beamed ceilings, each room is air-conditioned. It is consists of 2 bedrooms with wardrobes, 2 bathrooms and an open space with a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area for up to 6 people and a living room with the satellite TV. The main area open to large terrace with mountain and sea views and outdoors furniture.
All spaces of the villa are available ONLY for our guests! NO shared areas.

We are always in the apartment at guest arrival and we offer a welcome basket with bottle of mineral water, coffee, tea, sugar, jam, butter, Raki (local drink) and Cretan sweet. A short briefing of the house and some startup details for places to visit is given. We provide full details of any place of interest if asked. We are always there at the departure to greet our guests!
We will be very pleased to help you with everything you need, including advice on the best beaches and destinations, restaurants and even your shopping, to name just a few or in short everything else the region has to offer.
Guests are within 10-minute driving distance from Sitia city and its sandy beach. In Sitia you will also find several café/bars and seaside restaurants. Nearby there are also a lot of traditional coastal cafes, restaurants as well as “rakadika” serving local cuisine and the traditional alcoholic drink called “raki” (made from grapes).
The nearest airport is Sitia Vitzentzos Kornaros Airport with code name JSH (8 km). Heraklion airport with code name HER is also convenient (133km).
The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood only few minutes walking distance from village’s market/ grocery shop, the taverns were you can tast local food/ drink and the public bus station.
Stavromenos is a very good spot if you like to explore the east part of Crete so hiring a car is recommended along with your daily programme

Wir haben im September 2021 zwei wundervolle Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht.
Laut Anzeige befindet sich das Haus in Zou, es steht aber in Kato Drys, nur einige Hundert Meter weiter den Berg hinauf.
Das Haus ist in einem top Zustand und perfekt ausgestattet.
2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, Küche, Wohnbereich und eine große Terrasse mit fantastischem Blick auf Sitia.
Die Abwicklung mit der Schlüsselübergabe war nett und absolut problemlos, obwohl wir mitternachts angekommen sind.
Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig.
Wer sich in den Tavernenmeilen von Sitia wohlfühlt, ist hier auch genau richtig, es sind nur ca. 8 min Fahrzeit bis ins Zentrum.
Gute Lage zum Erkunden von Ostkreta, bis Ierapetra im Süden fährt man auch nur 45 min.
Für uns hat alles gepasst, ohne Ausnahme!

Das Haus liegt sehr schön, allerdings sind die angegebenen 100 Quadratmeter wohl mit Außenterrasse gemessen, das Haus selbst hat max. 70, eher weniger. Da wir Anfang April relativ schlechtes Wetter hatten, wird es schon zu viert innen dann relativ eng. Den angegebenen Geschirrspüler gibt es im Übrigen auch nicht. Ansonsten ist das Haus gut ausgestattet, funktionierende Klimaanlage, überall neue Fenster mit Fliegengittern und Rollos. Die Gegend ist sehr schön, man kann viel unternehmen. Bei unserer Rückfahrt hatte es über Nacht allerdings so viel geregnet, dass die Straße nach Sitia eine reißender Fluß geworden war und wir nur mit viel Mühe und Umwegen wegkamen. Die Vermieter hätten uns aber freundlicherweise auch eine weitere Nacht umsonst im Haus wohnen lassen (dann wäre der Flug aber weggewesen...). Aber solche starkten Regenfälle sind wohl auch in der Region eher nicht üblich. Fazit: Ein schönes Haus, aber eher für die wärmere Jahreszeit.
