The Bayview, B-11 villa built in 2012
It is a superb example of a high standard eco-friendly house, situated in an enviable location with superb views across the surrounding Cretan countryside and the open Libyan Sea. The house was designed with a concept, which strikes a careful balance between high quality design and simplicity of purpose with a specification that is both efficient and user friendly.
Just a stone's throw away (200m) from the beautiful natural long sandy beach of Lagada (part is a nudist beach), by the coastal village of Makry-Gialos in Southeastern Crete. The best destination in the Med. Sea.
The villa is easily accessible for older people, people with disabilities, and families with small children. It offers stunning sea and mountain views and it is an ideal base to unwind and explore this unspoiled corner of Eastern Crete.
Right next to the house, on the same level, are two large communal pools, a sunbathing area with free sun loungers, and plenty of shade with poolside lounges, chairs and tables for comfortable outdoor living and relaxation. Right next to the pool is a private yard with a pergola and salon type sitting area. There are nice wooden fences, beautiful gardens and a parasol, providing comfort, privacy, and beautiful surroundings to fully enjoy your stay.
There is a second private yard area with pergola shades facing the sea (sea view) surrounded by a yard fence, which create a safe playing area for small children. There is also a dining and breakfast seating area, and a stone-built BBQ, and seating and sunbathing area on the roof terrace for more privacy.
The house has two bedrooms and one spacious living room.
The master bedroom has an extra-large double bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom comes with a double bed too. A bunk bed (sleeps 2) is set into the wall of the large living room. There is a second complete bathroom with a bathtub in the house corridor. The spacious, comfortable living room is a cosy area with a fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofas, with a sliding door which leads to a large Roman-type swimming pool, complete with a running waterfall.
The kitchen is fully-equipped and furnished, including a large wooden dinning table for fun family meals. Electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, professional Nespresso machine and pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and anything else you might need to prepare a home-cooked meal are provided. The villa also has a new washing machine, for full convenience in your home away from home.
All balcony doors and windows have new aluminum shutters or electric rollers, with mosquito and fly nets to ensure your good night's sleep isn't disturbed by pests or itchy bites. A solar panel provides the hot water, making our water heating systems that extra bit more eco-friendly. All lights are LED and some of them are even PGB or remote control dimable. The double wall insulation (in-out) adds to our eco-friendly goals, helping keep your cool air inside where you want it, as all rooms are fully air-conditioned (3 units). Free WiFi is, of course, available too.
A satellite smart TV with internet function (43''), media player and a mini Android-PC-box are available in the living room, as well as a second satellite TV (32") in the master bedroom. You can watch thousands of world TV channels, play video games or surf the Internet, as well as enjoy live streaming of your favorite sports, all from the comfort of your bed or the living room sofa.
The pool and outside areas are cleaned daily. The bed linen is changed weekly, and living accommodation is cleaned on a weekly basis.
Hand soap, shower gel, and toilet paper are all provided free, as well as towels for your shower and for use poolside. More cleaning can be requested for an additional fee, and prices may vary according to number of people and cleaning requirements.
