About this farm stay rental
One House in Monokampi Ikaria. This property was our family parental residence, and it was renovated in respect to traditional Ikarian architecture. There are two levels (Hector and Andromache), with one bed, one bathroom, and a kitchen each with excellent view.
Monokampi is located aproximately 15 kms from Agios Kirikos, one of Ikaria's harbors.

Stunning setting in a beautiful converted old farmhouse.
It was so peaceful, a natural paradise.
We were made very welcome and it was easy to contact the owner, George, should we need anything.
We loved exploring the island on a scooter.
We found lovely beaches at both sides of the island. And there is a great, traditional taverna about 30 mins away.
We didn't want to leave!

Gruppo di casette in pietra nel bosco restaurate con gusto. Accoglienza ottima: Whattsapp di localizzazione del proprietario appena sbarcati, vassoio di frutta verdura e due bottiglie di ottimo vino di loro produzione, arredamento funzionale e ben equipaggiato, pulizia e cambio biancheria frequentissimi.
Unica cosa da migliorare veramente è la connessione internet: essendo il router in un casottino esterno agli appartamenti, ed essendo i muri spessi e in pietra, in pratica ci siamo potuti connettere soltanto all'esterno, peraltro attrezzato con divanetto tavolino e poltrone. Ma certamente è un problema che il cordialissimo proprietario Giorgio potrà risolvere potenziando il sistema e che non cancella l'impressione positiva del soggiorno. Ultimo ringraziamento anche alla simpaticissima signora Mina, che sta nel villaggio vicino, e che oltre alle pulizie ci ha viziato con rifornimenti di uova, verdure ecc.

Posto tranquillo e molto bello, tra gli alberi, a mezza costa sulle montagne e il mare in lontananza. Il risvolto negativo è che è isolato: sulla mappa si trova in un villaggio, ma nei fatti i primi paesi (con negozi o taverna), sono a mezz'ora di automobile.
Inoltre, avevo cercato un appartamento con due stanze da letto, ma poi è risultato che si trattava di due studio. Con tali distanze è meglio cenare a casa; ma la minuscola cucina con lavandino microscopico rendono difficile preparare una vera cena.
La bellezza del paesaggio però alla fine ha compensato tutto.
