About this house rental
After a day of exploring, you'll have the perfect place to sit and relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea. The Downs are literally at the end of the garden path and if you're a nature lover, you'll enjoy seeing our regular wildlife visitors throughout the seasons including a wide range of butterflies, birds and bees.
Ventnor really is the perfect location for a family break. The town has individuality, character and everything within walking distance; perfect for strolling on the beach or on beautiful downs, wildlife spotting, seeking out rare flora and fauna at the Ventnor Botanic Garden, water sports, sea safaris, tennis, golf and of course challenging cycling routes. Ventnor hosts its own carnival and several festivals throughout the year; the Isle of Arts in May and the Ventnor Fringe Festival in August. And with it's famously temperate climate, Ventnor is also ideal for a Spring or Autumn visit.
If you take the coastal path from Ventnor or walk down through the Ventnor Botanic Garden, you'll discover Steephill Cove, a hidden gem inaccessible by car. In the other direction, Bonchurch is also just a short stroll away and offers a wealth of pretty walks. You can relax in the Pond Café, visit the pottery studios, explore secluded coves along the coastal path, tackle the more challenging footpaths weaving their way up the undercliff or take the gentle stroll along the waters edge stopping at the SeaPot for fresh crab pasties at Wheeler's Bay.
While there's a lot to keep you in Ventnor, Bonchurch and Steephill Cove, you'll also be conveniently located for visiting other favourites such as Shanklin Chine, Godshill and The Needles plus events such as the Isle of Wight Festival, Cowes Week, walking and cycling festivals and even a Garlic Festival!
