Hôtel Le Pavillon des Lys - Amboise Centre

The location was ideal- central to everything we wanted to see and do in Amboise. Our room was large, and the bathroom setup was perfect (separate small room for the toilet, but still in the bathroom). My wife accidentally left something behind in the closet and the hotel staff notified us promptly so we could return and get it.

There are no coffeemakers or electric kettles in the rooms, nor are there mini-fridges. In fact, they discourage eating at all in the rooms. We often needed to get an earlier start so we could beat the tour buses to local sites. Breakfast wasn’t served until 8 at the hotel, so we had to find local boulangeries that opened earlier. Being able to have coffee right off the bat would have been nice. The floors are a bit squeaky, so not ideal if you’re someone who has to use the bathroom at night.

Amazing view of the Chateau, beautiful room, big claw foot tub and a laundry line available. All so well appointed and thoughtful. Lovely salon with tea available after dinner.

Amazing location, comfortable bed, friendly staff, great value, lovely breakfast!

We had a living area in our room which went unused and were up some stairs in our accommodation. Access for us was fine but for visitors with mobility issues it wouldn’t be ideal.

Room was plenty big.

Staff unfriendly. and not helpful. Breakfast not good and not worth it. Getting in and especially out of the parking lot was very difficult.
