I was initially booked into another hotel which I stayed in for 2 nights , it was terrible I couldn’t stay another night , I looked and booked this place and was very happy the host was so friendly and helpful and the rooms were perfect, comfy beds good shower , can’t fault it

The host and hostess were lovely.
I am writing as an 84 year old sole traveler. It should be made clear that this is a B&B; not an hotel. The rooms, have no 'en-suite' bathrooms, (now expected even in B&Bs in this day and age). The premises was difficult to find, even in daylight, and was five minutes or more walk from where you might have to park your car; (too far for an old person to hump luggage). The proprietors sent me a long, textual description about how to find the place (and use the key-code locks,) but a hand-drawn block plan would have been much better. There was no hand-hold at the garden gate steps. Better signage on the approach to the front door too would have been an improvement. The security key-code lock on my bedroom door malfunctioned. Luckily I discovered this before bedtime and was given a different room. Heating is turned off at night and I hate being cold; (the rooms are on the ground floor, so you have to close the curtains at night. My room radiator was under the window and screened off from the room by the curtains, so even if there was heat from the radiators, it would go straight through the large bay window and heat the outside, not the room!
