The Old Rectory is a lovely old house close to the town centre and park. There is free parking. We were greeted on arrival. Our room was spacious, and the TV and wifi were excellent. We had everything we needed. Saturday morning I ran Parkrun with my hostess followed by a late breakfast, which was excellent. Room was serviced that day whilst we were out.
Nothing really, the firm mattress would probably suit other people. And I can see that further improvements are in the pipeline, as the present owners have only recently taken it over.

Advertised garden view was very limited, at basement level (see photos). Soon after arrival, discovered two broken legs on one of the single beds - it was promptly sorted with a replacement base. Kettle position was inconvenient with a short lead - on floor under desk; it was promptly sorted with an extension lead. Kettle wouldn't fit under tap to fill. Biscuits stale, inedible and out-of-date by 5 months (see photos). Room decor a bit tired, e.g. plaster dust on seat upholstery (see photos). Shower screen and WC very close together.
