About this house rental
This cozy and quiet rental is in the heart of Mayville, NY, just a 5 minute walk to shopping or another 10 minutes down to Chautauqua Lake. We are 2.5 miles from the famous Chautauqua Institution!
The house is private, perched on a hill with beautiful views, and has a fabulous pool that is available during the summer season. The pool house holds floats, pool toys, and kick boards for your use. The deck is spacious with an awning and barbecue.
Back inside, there is a motorized, seated handicap ramp on the steps leading upstairs to the bedrooms and bathroom. It can even carry your luggage up the steps so you won't have to!
If you enjoy snowmobiling, trails are close to the house (a block away), and there are ski resorts 45 minutes to an hour away. Imagine spending a day out enjoying the snow, and returning to your home away from home making a fire and reading a good book!
A Tim Hortons is about to open (by Nov. 1, 2025) a block away, and shopping in the Village of Mayville is a 2 block walk. Location, location, location!

We were pleased with Rebecca and her attentiveness as we were her first guests of the season and a few things needed tending. The home was well air conditioned which was important given the heat dome in existence during our week's stay. The home is well equipped in the kitchen, and a neighbor brought over a can opener once discovered missing. The pool was needing a new filter but was due to be fixed the following week and being tended to. We liked the stairway's electronic lift due to it carrying our luggage to upstairs, as the stairs are fairly steep. The wifi and tv were well serviced and working well, and the home was clean and close to CHQ, the reason for our visit.

Rebecca our beautiful host provided us with the perfect place to stay in comfort with our dogs. She has a beautiful kitchen with everything we needed to cook or grill. If you want to go out, Rebecca owns a very good restaurant right down the road where you can dine. Our favorite part was relaxing on the beautiful deck with a great view of the yard and gardens and swimming in the pool. There were thoughtful touches provided like wine, charcuterie, biscotti and a rose on the nightstand to greet us.

This was a gem of stay during our weekend visit to Lily Dale. House was elegantly simple and clean. Bonus was the large clear pool to refresh one’s hot day when out about like we did. Rebecca was very considerate and charming to ensure our comfortable stay. We sat out on the deck in early morning with fresh grind coffee (on the house) while listening to morning birds and watching sunrise peaking over the horizon. Evening was equally relaxing with wine whether sitting in the cool living room with throws or outside by the twinkling deck. This was a gem in stay. Thank you, Rebecca.
