About this cottage rental
This charming cottage in the centre of Emsworth couldn't be a better spot to holiday close to the water. The hosts have gone to every trouble to finish the property to an incredibly high standard from the wonderfully equipped kitchen to the hotel quality bedding.
Entering the house through the front door straight into the kitchen area where you will find everything you would need to comfortably self cater for your stay including kettle, Hotel Chocolate coffee machine, dishwasher, electric cooker and gas hob, large fridge and freezer, wine fridge, microwave and toaster. The hosts have also provided a washing machine, clothes airer an iron and ironing board. There is a large kitchen island with seating for four where you can sit and enjoy whatever delights you have whipped up in the kitchen or enjoy a takeout from on of the local restaurants or takeaways.
The sitting room is open to the kitchen with plenty of comfortable seating and a large smart TV, the bi-fold doors are the width of the house and open onto the lovely sunny and private south facing garden.
Up to the first floor there is a super king to the rear which can be split into twin beds upon request at the time of booking. To the front there is a king room with an en suite shower room. The family bathroom is also on the first floor with a beautiful free standing bath with shower attachment.
There is one parking space available for guests to use, off road to the rear of the house.
The hosts at Nile Street will accept one well behaved dog.

We stayed here in the summer. Such a great location we came back in winter. While upstairs was warm the underfloor heating downstairs did not work effectively despite the best efforts of the agent. It was very cold outside during our stay and it only warmed up inside when the sun shone through the windows.
Two criticisms: the seating in the living area is not comfortable and no effort has been made to make the area feel cosy. Few ornaments and no pictures make the large room feel rather stark.
The folding doors do not fit properly and added to the problem of keeping the large living room warm.
We also found the back door impossible to open at times and ended up using only the front door.
We hope the owners find a buyer soon. Despite our criticisms we enjoyed our stay because of the wonderful location.

We have had a very pleasant, comfortable stay in the Hive (for our second visit this year). The living space and kitchen are a good size and well equipped; the beds are very comfortable.
Parking behind the property can be a little challenging with a big vehicle. It's also in a good location in the centre of Emsworth whilst still being pretty quiet.

A lovely place to stay and so near the sea. Our only disappointment was the lack of a microwave but otherwise it was just as advertised .
