The communication with host was straight forward and the keys are available to collect in a box witha passkey. Very quick communication through booking app with the owner. The owners are quite helpful with any questions you might have. This is a renovated old small house in a very tiny village in Harz area in Germany. The location is good if you have a car and can travel around. It's so nice and peaceful. Were there during Christmas night and enjoyed the calm vibe. It's next to a stream of water with. Very clean place with everything you might need. Quite nice and roomy for 2 families. Just remember that 2 of the beds are in a tiny room which is inside one of the bedrooms.
The mattresses are sadly not the ones you can use for more than a night. They are quite soft and we could feel the bed frame. Pillows as well can be much better. The coffee machine is a senseo, and was not working right. so most of the cups we got from it was mostly water. A dolce gusto or a nespresso machine can be a big improvement. You can't as well expect to find anything to do around the village, except hiking if you are into it. The kitchen can also be renovated with better cabinets, they are a bit outdated. e.g. the fridge has no freezer. The tiny room inside the main room (with 2 beds/ the children room) has no heating facility, and can be cold in cold winters. The place has only 1 bathroom which is on the ground floor, a second one on the first floor would be nice.
