There is no doubt that this is a super place to base yourself. It’s just round the corner from central town, easy to find etc. the free parking is an absolute bonus. It was far more spacious than I thought it would be and having two larger beds in two bedrooms was brilliant. We could control the heating so didn’t stay cold for long in the evenings.
I only looked at a few reviews before booking but once you realise the problems and start to look back in past reviews it’s disappointing that nothing has been done to rectify the issues. The lino in the kitchen is a trip hazard and just grateful I didn’t trip over (surely one nights rent would fix it). We didn’t sit outside on the patio as it gets little sun but it’s still unkempt and dirty. Overall cleanliness was okay but we found a dish of baked beans in the microwave; come on guys, wiping out a microwave should be on the to do list!!!
And lastly take ear plugs as the yappy dog next door barks continuously when neighbours are out for the night (roughly late evening until 2am). This has been reported since July 2025. I’m not normally so negative but a lot of these points have been made for almost a year
