Fantastic stay, property provided so much more than I have experienced before with soft drinks, coffee, water. It’s like home away. Location was right in the centre of Patmos. Right by the ferry drop off. The bells in the morning were beautiful to absorb the Patmos atmosphere. Alexander was kind directing and also providing different locations for restaurants. Very approachable. Can’t go wrong staying in this apartment.

The apartment is only around 3 to 4 minutes from the port, when you arrive by ferry and therefore very conveniently located. The hosts contacted us before hand and gave a detailed explanation (video clip) on how to get there. After staying in hotels in Athens and Rhodes, Arethusa apartment was like coming home again and we could really relax. They have a Netflix subscription, which is handy.

Humanity is fickle. At a time like this in the world, you pray for the basics of a good room/apartment with a host that at least reaches out with a hello. Not even a friendly disposition, just a hello. With the proverbial bar so low, anything above that is great, right? Hospitality has become a watered-downshell of an industry with cyclical buzzwords like hospitality. However, when someone actually prepares with love, for your arrival, you feel it.
This place is special. From the time I booked to the time I left, this made me feel like I was on vacation. The host family was nothing short of irrefutably outstanding! Before my arrival, the host sent recommendations for exciting places to visit, relax, and eat, as well as the most accurate directions. Upon my arrival, finding the place was seamless thanks to the directions. The apartment was so beautifully well kept that i couldn't believe it was where I'd be staying. In fact, my first thought was that i must be in the wrong place. Or, I may only be allowed to use part of the apartment. The family showed me where everything was around the place and even pointed out additional places I might be interested in. They assured me that not only was I in the right place, but that I had full use of the apartment! They set out food, fruits, snacks, various jams, marmalade, and toast. They also had Illy coffee! After setting the terrace furniture out, she showed me where the water was. Before wishing me a great vacation, they showed me the maps and literature of Patmos. The place was immaculate. So much so that it made things peaceful. I did everything i could to return it better than i found it. While the Booking app gave me a later arrival at 2300, I arrived at 1400. The host was super cool and amazing. She reached out and made sure I was comfortable. Man! That's Hospitality!!! The host linked me with Katerina car rentals.... a quick "shout-out" to her.

This was by far our best accommodation on our island hopping holiday.
Alexandra has put a lot of thought into providing for her guests. I can only concur with the previous reviews.
Highly recommended
The toilet is in the lobby area a short walk through the living area from the bedroom &shower room
( not a problem just an observation)
