About this villa rental

Villa Tatyana is prevailing practically alone over a uniquely advantageous ten acre plateau in the most aristocratic area of Patmos, Epsimia Bay. It literally offers a breathtaking 360 degrees panoramic view of all stunning surrounding seas and islands along with the 1,000-year-old Monastery Castle of Saint John’s, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Only 150 metres from the beach, its central location provides easy access to all major attractions.

We welcome you to Villa Tatyana on the island of Patmos, considered by many as the secret and «mystery guarding» gem of the Greek islands and the most idyllic place to live in Europe, according to Forbes Magazine.

Patmos is a charming and peaceful vacation destination in the Dodecanese Islands, featuring a variety of truly beautiful village settlements, scenic beaches, elegant restaurants, traditional tavernas and numerous aspiring churches and other shrines for worship and meditation.

A place ideal for visitors who seek a relaxing holiday on an intimately authentic Greek island, Patmos' beauty has been praised in a cover story by the New York Times' T Magazine, while its main settlement of Chora, an architectural marvel of white-washed houses and narrow streets, is prominent among UNESCO's World Heritage sites.

On this blessed Holy Greek Island of Patmos, where humans are thought to have settled there as far back as 2000 B.C, and Jesus' beloved apostle St. John wrote the ultimate prophetic Book of Revelation of the Bible in 95 A.D, our family, my wife Tatyana, our two children Anthony and Alex and myself were privileged to acquire a divinely charismatic estate in 1991.

Ever since then, we strove to develop it with the ultimate respect and devotion, so that, today, we can happily present it to our beloved guests who can expect the highest standards of hospitality and personalized service, from an authentic Greek islands’ traditional and luxurious villa, wishing them wholeheartedly to enjoy a sincere and deep vacation experience which they will cherish forever.

Indeed, Villa Tatyana Patmos is prevailing practically alone over a uniquely advantageous ten acre plateau in the most aristocratic area of the historical island, Epsimia Bay.

It literally offers a breathtaking 360 degrees panoramic view of all the spectacular surrounding seas and islands, as well as the thousand years old Monastery Castle of Saint John's.

Decorated and furnished in genuine traditional and style with modern highlights, it aspires to immerse you in the original island life and traditions of Patmos.

Featuring a private 50 square meters pool with sun terrace, the estate lies just 150 metres from Epsimia Beach and is located on the amphitheatrical center of the island providing advantageous access to all its major attractions, the monumental sight of the Cave of the Apocalypse, the popular intellectual elite and celebrity settlement of Chora, the scenic town of Skala with its port, and the picturesque and quiet fishing village of Grikos, all within a 4 kilometers radius.

Fitted with a fireplace and traditionally decorated, this air-conditioned 265 square meters villa comes with 4 bedrooms that include a suite and an extra bedroom with separate entrances, private bathrooms, and exclusive balconies overlooking spectacular expanses of the island.

Opening to a living room balcony and a patio, it consists of a seating area with comfortable sofas and satellite TV as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, spacious refrigerator, and ample indoor and outdoor dining areas. It is a fully equipped unit with a washing machine, free parking, and free WiFi available throughout.

Guests may relax at the sun loungers of the sun terrace by the pool or use the BBQ facilities. A roof garden with amazing sea views is offered and port and airport shuttle services can be provided if requested.

Guests have unlimited access to all the indoor and outdoor spaces of the property and the surrounding 2,200-square-meter estate.

We are available on a 24-7 basis for anything you might want, so as to make your vacation experience truly special and unforgettable. For us, you are not just guests. Since we share our home, you are, in a way, like family. Since ancient times in Greece, hospitality has always been considered a sacred obligation and we will be very happy to meet you on our beloved, blessed Patmos, whenever it may be a convenient time for you.

Welcome!

HOW TO COME TO PATMOS

Patmos is so small it’s a good thing that there is no airport because it would be overcrowded with people and the noise pollution would be annoying.

The only way to get to Patmos is by sea (although there is an operational helicopter pad, this is not an option for most).

This site http://www.openseas.gr/OPENSEAS/index_en.vm will help you find the route more convenient for you. Please note that these times sometimes do change so contact the Ferry office, travel agencies, or port authorities for confirmation. You can also call (+30) 1440 for a recorded message in Greek, for the boat schedules of today and tomorrow to all islands in Greece.

Piraeus to Patmos

A boat from Athens ( Piraeus ) takes 7 hours with Blue Star Ferries and 9-10 hours with ANEK ferries.
Boats leave from Gate E1 in Piraeus port daily. Gate E1 is for islands of the Dodecanese, to which Patmos belongs.
Tickets for all ferries are available from the corresponding kiosks across from the boats at the port. Do try to be there early, as some people miss their boats due to queuing for tickets.

Timetables are available only for the full tourist season of July – August. They are usually issued in late June. These times sometimes change so call the Ferry office to confirm or call (+30) 14944 for a recorded message in Greek, for the boat schedules of today and tomorrow to all islands in Greece.

There are also timetables for flights, trains, and buses on this telephone service.

Catamaran

There is also a catamaran "DODEKANISOS SEAWAYS" that reaches Patmos from the ports of Lipsi, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, and Rhodes. Click here for more information.

Flying Dolphin

From there you can catch a flying dolphin (hydrofoil) or a small private vessel. Caution: When the wind speed reaches 6-7 Bft the flying dolphins (hydrofoils) do not leave the port they are at.

For Flying dolphin's schedule for July-August-September click here. For other travel dates contact port authorities or travel agencies.

There are also small privately-owned ferries from different islands usually doing day tours to Patmos, their times change regularly so calling the port authorities is the only way to verify their times. Call travel agencies for more, if any details.

Plane

The fastest way to get to Patmos is by flying to Samos island international airport, Kos island international airport, or Leros island domestic airport.

We loved our stay at Panos' place. We were a family of 5 adults looking to enjoy some quality time together - and this was perfect for our needs. Panos lives next door and was responsive, cheery and quick to help with anything we needed. The view is every bit as amazing as the pictures look, though unfortunately the wind meant it was still too cold to make the most of the pool. Will need to return in summer! It is a 5-15 minute drive to the nearest towns, so it is good to have a car to access the rest of the island.
