Lovely cosy cottage, heating and lights had been put on for our arrival, which made it feel very welcoming. It had everything you could want and more. Nice touch leaving us a box of biscuits. So clean every where. Beds were amazing, so comfortable, had such a good night sleep. The host Jo very easy to contact. She had also left loads of information and leaflet of places to visit etc. Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely recommend.

A gorgeous snug cottage that had everything we needed on a rainy weekend.
The beds were massive and very comfy, there were books and games to enjoy and plenty of shops and cafes in Matlock.

Being from Norfolk the hill! Not much Jo can do about it though and to be fair it wasn't as bad walking up as it looks from the bottom and made for some gorgeous views.
Google took us to the back door which caused some confusion but it was late, dark and raining when we arrived and didn't take us long to figure out that the front was just round the corner 😅

It was perfect for a 2 night stay for visiting Bakewell and the Christmas markets, house and gardens at Chatsworth.

A lovely clean old cottage skillfully renovated with a caring empathetic owner.
The only point of caution is for anyone with mobility issues. There are steps to different levels and staircases are steep, but then it is an old cottage.
Parking is provided but even with a smallish car access to the designated space is very very tight.
Parking on-street is preferable.
