Really lovely property, perfect for our weekend away with friends. Beds were super comfy, plenty of clean towels were provided, and the kitchen was stocked with all sorts of equipment for your stay (it’s so nice to have more than one mug/glass/plate per person!). Hot tub was excellent - clean and hot - and instructions for all aspects of our stay were comprehensive and easy to follow. One parking space beside the property and plenty of nearby on-street parking was very helpful. The walk to the property from Matlock centre is up a very steep hill - it was great workout!
Two minor points: the lack of coffee making facilities is at odds with the high standard of the rest of the property - there isn’t even a cafetière - and the soap/shampoo holders in both bathrooms were empty.

House was perfect for what we wanted. The hot tub was just what we needed. The facilities and welcome booklet gave us all the info that we needed.
We couldn't see one, but An outside light for the hot tub would have been helpful.

Comfortable seating in lounge.

Black mould in both showers.
Milk sachets left for us were almost a year out of date. We had to throw away our drinks on arrival.
Bath plug didn't work.
Lounge lighting poor and with dark walls it was quite depressing.
Hot tub is huge and three older females did not risk using it. We would have needed rescue.
Outside bins were overflowing, heavy to manoeuvre and difficult to place for collection if you have a car in drive.
The main problem is parking. Very narrow drive for one car situated on a busy junction. I damaged my car. We chose this property because there was supposedly street parking for a second car. There is restricted parking nearby, and anything unrestricted was full. We had to park our second vehicle a considerable distance away and ferry ourselves and bags around (we are 3 older sisters).
