The campsite is well laid out in a field beside the wave, which is seriously impressive. We loved sitting on the café sundeck with a drink, watching the surfers until sunset.
The tent itself is thoughtfully set up and comfortable. The wood burner is a nice touch, although it doesn’t quite heat the whole space, so worth bearing that in mind.
We’re not seasoned campers and only stayed one night, which was great fun. That said, I think we’d have struggled to stay much longer. For camping though, it’s about as close to five-star as you’ll get.
One big thing that lets this place down is the toilet facility, the floors were flooded with water and not well kept. plus the breakfast cafe is also a bit pretentious, £8 for a sausage and egg sandwich which couldn't hold a candle to a Gregg's!

Location, Space, the tent was excellent the kids loved it.
The car parking facilities are a bit of trek from the tent!!

Loved the log fire and the accommodation.
Timings were very wrong for staff hut closing (couldn’t get more fire wood) and the restaurant closed 3 hours before the notice board said.
Early check out, rush in the morning.

The WAVE complex for surfers is amazing - the glamping tents are what you'd expect - although i didnt use the kitchen area it would of been great if id needed it.
The bed was comfy and warm.
The fire was great ; and the starter pack would have provided firewood for a couple of evenings ; and gave out plenty of heat.
The car park and initial camp access route ; before you get to the exclusive camping area road ; needs levelling - it slows people down but its a danger to vehicles.
The weather happened to be the worst since ive been staying in the area but not a lot the location / venue can do about that - but it made the tent rattle a bit.
