The street car red line is right out the front door. It takes you towards downtown and the French Quarter or towards City Park in the other direction.
Uber, Lyft, taxis also easy.

3.5 miles to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

This trip was great. We ended up in a different unit after being offered an upgrade so I can't say how the Canal property is but the General Pershing property with the same company was wonderful. Very clean, responsive manager, quiet neighborhood and easy to get to many attractions.

Property was just as described. Quiet neighborhood. Street Car stop right outside front doors. Beds were comfortable. Stayed 5 nights.
